DJIM Trader Alerts to 2011

Up to the minute alerts of the stocks DJIM traders are closely watching for a trade, a heads up of sorts. This section is mostly for the trader during market hours and those who are familiar with the DJIM trading methodology.  In an effort to get information to you quickly, these alerts may only contain a few words, maybe only a symbol of the stock. It is best you keep up to date on the activities in Trader Journal as most plays originate from that page.  Please remember Alerts are not a license to buy, watch for volume, market conditions and other indicators

Next round of buying should hit if TSY gets over 2.65%/ TNX 26.50. That's the hold up with or without NFP on deck.

Mkt couldn't turn green yesterday, if does today it will likely trigger different end result.

SPX hit April down trendline this morning, finding footing since which could bring another round of short covering if it this doesn't fold soon. If it does it may turn into a bullish reversal in hope of Bernanke on Friday.

This won't help..very divided FED

WSJ – says that the Aug 10 FOMC meeting was among the most contentious in Bernanke’s history as chairman; at least 7 of the 17 Fed officials were against the decision to reinvest maturing MBS into TSYs or expressed reservations about the plan. The Journal says that officials at the NY Fed were concerned that ultra-low mortgage rates would cause the Fed portfolio to shrink faster than anticipated b/c of refinancings, this in turn would result in a faster than expected contraction in the Fed’s balance sheet. Fed projections indicated that the balance sheet would fall by 20% through the end of ’11, a contraction that many weren’t comfortable with. Some officials were uncomfortable w/the move, worrying that it was sending a mixed message to markets & may wind up doing more harm than good (which it wound up doing).

FTNT, good chart and may fall some into INTC/MFE news
Aug 19, 2010 at 09:49AM | Registered CommenterDemi/ YourPersonalTrader
Good- no July Q end techs echoed CSCO/Chambers last night (although HPQ DELL MRVL tonight can change things), Asian mkts strong (Japan stimulus speculation, Europe, Germany, UK good data, Greece meets conditions for next aid, M&A INTC/MFE, Options expr tomorrow may help hold mkt.

Bad- Initial Claims, double dip talk will intensify sooner than later, this also means next NFP# will be negative again. Chance here is # 'no worse than feared" takes over short term and the 'good' outweighs this number.
